Steve Lund is an Australian producer whose career in film, television and advertising spans over 20 years.

Having begun as a freelance production co-ordinator on commercials and in broadcast television whilst finishing a business degree, Steve moved into a producing role, spending four years with arguably the busiest TV department in Australia at Singleton Ogilvy & Mather. He excelled under the extreme pressures of a hectic commercial environment and learned a great deal about how to guide and manage the relationship between a creative process and its necessarily tangible outcomes.

Joining Plush Films in 2006, Steve produced countless commercials varying in size and style, including the heavily publicised ‘Keep Mining Strong’ campaign, moving on to produce most of the well-received ‘This is Our Story’ campaign with Plump Films from 2009

Steve loves his work and he loves a challenge. He has worked and studied in  Japan, and was able to draw on his cultural skills with an IBM production focussing on Japan’s ageing population . He then went on to produce a feature length documentary ‘Fatbelly – Chopper Unchopped’ has been distributed internationally. He is currently developing a documentary based in Samoa under the working title ‘Kayak4Youth’.

In 2012 he founded Lightracer Films to produce a range of commercial and corporate projects for clients including the Minerals Council of Australia, BHPBilliton, which saw him travelling around the country consistently. His breadth of experience, positive collaborations across so many productions and consistently successful outcomes are testament to Steve’s particular insight and skill. Not only extremely well organised, efficient and focused, he’s adept at reading complex situations and always thinking on his feet in order to get the job done. His excellent grasp of the whole process from development through production and post-production ensures smooth communication and effective problem-solving. He delivers to the highest quality on time, every time, keeping clear sight of the big picture while managing the details so well.
